Peacemaking

The table is a place of nourishment and necessity. It is a place where deep bonds between friends, family, and even strangers are formed. It can also be a place of contention.

The table is where we come together for daily meals and annual celebrations. For negotiations and religious feasts. With our closest family and friends, or with complete strangers.

At the table we laugh and we cry, teach and learn. We draw closer, hopefully experiencing a deeper understanding of each other and ourselves.

At the table we are all transformed.

Telos understands the value of the table. For more than 15 years, we have invited leaders to sit around tables in unique parts of the world in order to challenge perspectives and form peacemakers for our most pressing issues and our most challenging conflicts.

In these times of fierce division—in Palestine, in our own nation, and elsewhere—we invite you, as Christian leaders, to continue these conversations around this digital Mosaic Table. Each month we’ll offer reflections on seminars led by insightful scholar-practitioners, who are pressing into our most urgent issues, and offering reflections with practical import for our cohort of pastors and church leaders.

We invite you to come together around this digital table to participate in an honest conversation about what we can be doing for peace and justice in our world, moving from dialogue to action. This is where we, together, figure out what it means for each of us individually and collectively to be peacemakers.
